"Be a Tourist in Your Own Town Week" June 5-12, 2004

Join the Visitor Info Centre in celebrating "Be a Tourist in Your Own Town Week" June 5-12.

The week will be kicked off with a special Peace Country BBQ on June 5 from 11am-2 pm at the Visitor Info Centre. Bison burgers will be on the grill, courtesy of the Northern BC Buffalo Company and the North Peace Shriners. There will also be fabulous draws, sidewalk chalk for the kids, and tours of the Visitor Info Centre. In addition, coupons to many of the local attractions, such as the Mini-Zoo in Taylor and the swimming pool, will be handed out to encourage residents to get out and see all the great things the North Peace has to offer!

The purpose of this special week is to create awareness of all the services the Visitor Info Centre has to offer (its not just for tourists!) and to encourage local people to try out events, activities, and attractions in the area.
