Residents of Charlie Lake can expect their temporary post office to open perhaps as soon as Wednesday, May 27, 2009.  That’s when final approval of the land agreement of the temporary post office location is expected to be finalized. The proposed site is in a trailer on the Community Hall property behind the old store.

In the meantime, residents should continue to pick up their mail at the Fort St. John Main Post Office located at 10139 101st Avenue from 12:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday.  We apologize for the inconvenience this may be causing our customers. Canada Post is committed to working closely with residents of Charlie Lake to ensure a smooth transition to the temporary post office.  The old post office was damaged by fire on May 5th.  We thank residents for their continued patience as our staff work toward getting the temporary post office open as soon as possible.
