Stephen Ferris won his first Blizzard Time Trial Trophy, Sunday, despite the wind, rain and cold. He had an excellent time of 36:25 minutes for the 15-mile, Pineview event. This is the 21st edition and possibly the wettest version, to date.
Mike Hientzman was second at 38:00 and twelve time past winner Pat Ferris was third at 40:31. Roger St. Jean had 41:22 for 4th and Rod Lewis 42:03 for 5th. Provincial Champion Tessa Bilodeau won the Phoenix Trophy for Women with a time of 44:28 minutes. Barb Polehoykie was second at 53:46 and Erin Drummond third at 55:16. Jolea Bilodeau was 4th at 56:19 despite some mechanical problems. Other times were Darren Guliov at 47:56, Ross Garbutt 49:46 and Francis Plum at 51:25. Coming up: The Clubs Annual General meeting and Elections are happening at 7:30 pm at Northern Lights College. Thursday is a Baldonnel time trial with a 6:45 pm sign-on. Sunday is an East Beatton Hill climb starting at Beatton River Regional Park, 2:00 pm, on the Cecil Lake Road. |
