Septembers meeting will fall on Thursday the 22nd at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the Cultural Centre.  This months topic will be Seed Saving, with Cathy Wilkinson as the speaker.  A plant exchange, for things that are better divided and lifted in the fall will also be held.  Some examples of plants that  divide better in the fall include lilies, peonies, tender bulbs such as glads & dahlias that need to be lifted and stored for winter.  Also at this meeting will be the contest for the Largest Potato, and the Largest Pumpkin that is non-Atlantic Giant variety.(the pumpkin doesn't need to be ripe) There will be cash prizes, and the contest is open to everyone, including non-members.  Don't forget to bring some toonies for the raffle!  Everyone welcome.

Also a reminder for those with extra produce who wish to share it, please contact the Fort St John Health Unit at 263-3000 for a list of agencies willing to accept produce donations.  Produce must be clean.
